The Mission

It can be difficult to grasp in full how valuable a healthy functioning midbrain, hypothalamus and thalamus, is in determining the quality of our everyday lives. Considering the vast amount of data this region is processing every moment, and our constant expectation to perform at our very best, it seems negligent not to make a sincere effort to develop and maintain this part of our brain.

In the early 1980’s various stretching and calisthenics exercises were being reluctantly added to professional sports team programs to help maintain both flexibility and strength in athletes, and their ability to perform with less damage to their bodies. You also would have had to travel to India to learn yoga, which was considered religious practice in that region coupled with spiritual transformation along with the physical benefits most are seeking. Today there are yoga studios in every city and most every town. No spiritual or religious connotation at all. Just practice. And almost everyone today over the age of 12 understands the value of stretching and elongating muscles and tendons for a more supple body that is ready to meet performance demands.

Our mission at Advaya is to provide practice centers throughout where everyone can come regardless of age, sex, gender, race, faith, and ideology scientific or otherwise, to develop their minds, as well as their bodies in an environment that is designed precisely for engaging such efforts. Beautiful facilities with quiet private practice spaces where people can dedicate 30min to full days of focus and concentration on strengthening their hypothalamus, thalamus, and midbrain region. In the same way you might go to a yoga studio or gym, our practice centers are here for you 24hrs 7 days a week.

Our community is made up of many who have been practicing for over 30yrs, and those with as little as 3 hours. We strive to maintain an open forum where individuals can ask others questions related to practice, however there is no certification to acquire. Everyone is a teacher and everyone is a student. We are either practicing or we are not, focusing on the exhalation or on something else. For those who have developed a strong delta wave base line understand that to live in today’s world where vast amounts of information are incoming at unimaginable speeds, we must be able to use our brains in a much larger functional capacity to live a "balanced" healthy life.

We understand that very few have spaces in their homes where they are able to focus intensely on developing the midbrain through practice. Although you can do this anywhere it is good to be able to sit correctly without distractions and have the structured silence to rely on without anticipation of what is going to happen at any second with the kids, spouse, pets, work, TV etc. Advaya is here for you. We understand these challenges and it is our commitment to provide you with the perfect space to take advantage of that 30min to an hour window of free time, or to dedicate a full day to help strengthen and rejuvenate the midbrain.
